2023 Varsity Eligibility
- Paid 2023 CFOA dues
- Paid 2023 CHSAA dues
- Paid 2023 CSFOA (Local) dues
- Current background check (every 3 years)
- Attend the 2023 Master Clinic; (in person or online every year)
- Pass Rules test with 85%+ or Pass Playoff test 90%+
- Pass Mechanics test with 85%+
- Pass Physical Standards Test
- Member in Good Standing
2023 Playoff Eligibility
- All the Varsity requirements plus
- Pass Playoff test with 90%+
- Minimum of 2 years varsity experience for play-offs
- 5 years for semi-finals & finals
- Must have worked a minimum of 7 varsity games
- Must have worked a minimum of 7 in their playoff position (per Arbiter)
- Must have worked a minimum of 3 sub-varsity high schools games
- Must attend 7 meetings:
- Minimum of 5 Association meetings in person
- Minimum of 2 Crew meetings
- Must be available for all Saturdays in the postseason
- Will have 24 hours to accept or decline a playoff assignment
- Turn back of a game after availability was indicated will also result in disqualification for the remainder of this postseason and the postseason next year
- For championship games, cannot have worked a championship in the previous 4 season
2023 Crew Game Playoff Eligibility
- All the Varsity requirements plus
- Pass the Playoff test
- Work 5 games with the nominated crew at your designated position
- Please note, if all you do is meet these requirements, you will not be eligible for any other playoff games, unless you meet all the Playoff Eligibility requirements
2023 Deadlines (subject to change by CFOA)
All tests should be available starting July 15th, 2023
- Veteran Rules Test – must be completed before your first varsity game. Test remains open all year
- Mechanics Test – must be completed before your first varsity game. Test remains open all year
- Playoff Test – Must be completed by midnight, August 23 if you want to be considered for playoffs
- Physical Standards Test – before your first varsity game
- New Officials Test – must be completed before your first game
